Closure of the Gallery

From January 2024 onwards, the gallery will operate behind closed doors. For all artists or gallery related questions, we remain at your disposal at info@zeno-x.com.

In 1981, Frank and Eliane Demaegd founded Zeno X Gallery in an early 20th century townhouse in the Antwerp South district. In the early years the program of the gallery was mainly focused on architecture and installations with artists such as John Körmeling, Rem Koolhaas, Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven and Patrick Van Caeckenbergh. Nowadays the gallery represents around thirty artists which operate in many different mediums such as painting, sculpture, film, photography and performance.

In 2013, Zeno X Gallery moved to a larger and more industrial space in Borgerhout. This location offered the opportunity to exhibit large-scale works and monumental installations. In 2020, Zeno X Gallery decided to reopen the former gallery space at Leopold De Waelplaats 16 to increase the visibility of the artists they represent. The main exhibitions are still staged at the Borgerhout location, whereas the more intimate South space is perfect to host small-scale group exhibitions or focused presentations.

Zeno X Gallery represents established international artists while also showing the work of younger and upcoming artists. The gallery also represents the estate of Raoul De Keyser and Cristof Yvoré. Zeno X Gallery offers an international platform to its artists by participating in several art fairs such as Art Basel and Frieze, in the United States, Europe and Asia.
